         Save Big Money on Your

Hazard and Windstorm Insurance

This newsletter is a way for me to keep in touch with past clients and be able to help you in servicing your needs as a homeowner. Even years after we have closed on your loan, I still want to give you value. Even though our relationship started with a business call, I like to think our’s as a more personal relationship. Because of this I am always looking for ways to save you money as it pertains to your home and finances.

I got to thinking about business associates and thought if someone asked who my dentist was I could tell them. If someone asked who my Accountant is I could tell them, but when I ask people who there Mortgage broker is, most of them don’t remember. They say they probably have a card in their closing documents maybe.

Well, I don’t want to be that person in your closing documents somewhere. I want to be the person that brings you value through education and money saving ideas years after you closed on your home. So when a friend or family member asks you who did your Home Loan or Refinance or Credit Repair or helped sell your house. I hope your answer will be, Todd Dawkins!

I don’t care who you are, money is tight right now. If you are like everyone else you’re watching where every dollar goes.

Just in the past month I have noticed quotes for home insurance coming in substantially lower than six months to a year ago. If you have not purchased insurance in the past Six months, you could save $100 to $150 dollars a month by shopping for new home owner’s insurance.

No you do not have to install Hurricane shutters, I’m talking savings with what you have NOW. No you do not have to wait for your insurance to renew, so you should start right away. Even if your insurance is renewing don’t think your insurance agent is going to find you less expensive insurance and sent you a nice little note saying "your insurance went down by a thousand dollars a year", that’s not going to happen.

Not everyone will save a thousand to fifteen hundred dollars a year but many of you will. For thirty minutes, heck even if it takes a couple hours of your time wouldn’t it be worth it. Even if you save $30 to $50 a month that would at least help offset the increase in gas prices.

Who's "Your" Mortgage broker?

The quotation of the month is by Jay Leno:

'With hurricanes, tornadoes, fires out of control, mud slides,
flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from
one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist
attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the
Pledge of Allegiance?''
